360 Degree Appraisal
Frontier offers free places for 360 degree appraisal, in partnership with healthservice 360. Before accessing this service, we will have to confirm that you are an eligible London SASG Doctor. For further information and to apply to use this resource, click the logo above.
Please note that this resource does not currently provide facilities through which you can receive patient feedback and therefore does not meet appraisal requirements. We are in consultation to upgrade this resource and will notify SASG doctors through the website once this has been agreed.
CPD Online
Frontier has paid for a number of subscriptions to CPDOnline with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. This useful tool provides psychiatrists with online access to learning resources and podcasts covering a wide array of relevant subjects. It allows doctors to learn flexibly, keep up to date with changes in mental health and earn CPD points for developing their skills in their own time.
To subscribe to this service, please email frontier@londondeanery.ac.uk and the Frontier Coordinator will set up an account for you.
BMA - Critical Appraisal Skills Workshops
Frontier will continue, throughout 2012, to sponsor London middle grade doctors to attend these fantastic Basic, Extended and Refresher Critical Appraisal Workshops. This is what recent participants have had to say:

One to one careers interview with C2
Do you need help in thinking about your medical career? Are you unsure what non-clinical skills to focus on in your continuing professional development? Are you interested in pursuing the path to consultant roles? Are you concerned that your job applications are not as effective as they could be? Do you need a confidence boost when it comes to interviews for new posts? Are you thinking about suitable retirement activities?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes then you will be interested to learn that the Frontier Project is working with C2 Careers, part of The Careers Group, University of London, to deliver free careers coaching to support all aspects of your career planning. C2 has experience of working with doctors at various stages in their careers from medical student to consultant. As well as working with the London Deanery, C2 has provided professional development advice and training to SASG doctors through the BMA and individual NHS Trusts.
Frontier’s careers service will provide you with confidential guidance on how to make the most of your career, advice on how to find the information you need and someone who will listen appreciatively to your career issues and help you to think about them in new ways.
