Who Is Eligible?

Frontier funding is limited and as such there are restrictions upon who can apply for it an when.  The headings below give you a summary of eligibility for funding. 

Grade

In order to be eligible for Frontier sponsorship, you must be a Doctor and hold one of the following positions at a London NHS Trust:

• Staff Grade
• Associate Specialist
• Specialty Doctor
• Other middle grade - such as Clinical Fellow, Trust Grade, Hospital Doctor, etc.

Location

In order to be eligible, you must be employed by a London trust. (This does not apply to HPA employees, who may not necessarily be based in London offices.)

Study Leave

Frontier exists to increase the amount of funding available to SASG doctors to access CPD, but you must use your Trust study leave budget before you apply for funds from Frontier.  Any application that is approved when you still have study leave available will usually be approved for the amount requested minus your remaining study leave budget.
